The Beach Side of Florida

Everyone thinks "parks" when they hear Florida. However, there are so many more things to do in Florida that do not require going to a hot, busy and expensive park. In fact, they are very reasonably priced - free except for parking and good for your soul! They may still be hot and busy. I can't do anything about that. Lol.

Florida is renowned for its beautiful beaches. Here are ten top beaches you might want to consider:

1. South Beach, Miami: Known for its vibrant atmosphere, art deco architecture, and white sand.

2. Clearwater Beach: Famous for its pristine, white sand and family-friendly attractions.

3. Siesta Key Beach, Sarasota: My favourite! With its powdery quartz sand, it's often ranked as one of the best beaches in the United States.

4. Fort Lauderdale Beach: Offers a picturesque coastline, water activities, and a lively beachfront.

5. Naples Beach: Another Favourite! Known for its calm waters, elegant surroundings, and stunning sunsets.

6. Daytona Beach: Famous for its wide, hard-packed sand, perfect for beach driving and various water sports.

7. Cocoa Beach: A favorite for surfers, located near the Kennedy Space Center.

8. St. Pete Beach: Offers a wide sandy shoreline, clear waters, and a variety of water sports.

9. Panama City Beach: Known for its sugary white sand and vibrant nightlife.

10. Grayton Beach State Park: Part of the Emerald Coast, known for its unspoiled beauty, sand dunes, and crystal-clear waters.

Each beach has its own charm and character, catering to different preferences and activities. Be sure to check for any specific regulations or conditions before planning your visit.
