Lake Rosseau

Updated: Nov 12, 2023

Back to Muskoka!

Muskoka draws you back for a yearning to be with nature in an astoundingly beautiful setting. This time we visited Lake Rosseau.

Here we found a lovely restaurant called Crossroads. This restaurant is set in a beautiful location with a large patio. Across the way, there is a general store that takes on the old of days passed. You walk into this general store and you take a step back in time. All the while, you are greeted with the aroma of fresh coffee and amenities you would expect in 2021.

Take time to explore the small boutiques and ice cream parlour. I recommend finding your way to the water after that. It is not far. That is where you will find the view that draws us all back year after year! Where we stopped to see the water was an open park area littered with vendors. We happened upon an urban market. This market had wonderful crafts and treats. To name a few, a local artist made cheese and meat boards from the Canadian Shield. I thought that was a unique gift to bring home. A French baker set up his tent - you must be there to smell the amazing scents wafting through the air! All of this was set in the most spectacular spot over looking Lake Rousseau

I look forward to returning next year!
